Book To Read

OK, so I found this book at the library. It is called The Minivan Years Celebrating the Hectic Joys of Motherhood by Olivia Bruner. (Sorry I don't know how to make this underline the title.) Anyway, I was thinking the other day that people see me with all my peeps and always seem to comment on how one day I am going to miss these days....And always when I am the most stressed out it seems. Well right off in this book, she says something like that. Why do people seem to catch you when you are in the middle of chaos and say this? And I'm thinking, "Oh yeah right?!?! Miss THIS??? You are crazy!"

Yesterday, I had to give Boogie 2 baths. Oh no, 1 wasn't good enough for that little peep. The first one was because he went into my bathroom and decided to get in the tub and dump Daddy's very noxious smelling "man" soap all over him and the bathroom. Not, wanting to waste the soap, I put BOTH babies in there. They were in bubble heaven! They smelled like Daddy the rest of the day. (I think this was good, I noticed that I hugged them a little more than normal yesterday.) The second bath Mr. Boogie got was because he decided to help Mommy clean under the kitchen table. He sprayed all purpose Lysol spray in his hair, on his chest, legs, the floor, the wall. I asked him, "Did you eat it?" He said with a very Mr. Yuck face, "No Mamma vewy yucky, vewy yucky!" So, he DID try to eat it. Well that boy was SQUEAKY clean yesterday.

But, you know what? Thanks to that book, I realize I AM going to miss this later. I have to enjoy this and savor it. I can say that I WILL NOT miss hormonal attitudes though. But my little peeps are going to grow up, and perhaps move away 700 miles like I did to my mom and dad. And then what will I do? I'll miss these days...for sure.
